Rotary Club 2007/8
The Yorkshire School, Sri Lanka
Following the Tsunami in 2004, all the Rotary Clubs in Yorkshire combined to finance the building of a school in a remote town in Sri Lanka which has been badly affected.
Rotarians from Yorkshire visited Rotary colleagues in Sri Lanka, and the the project has already succeeded in building 3 teaching blocks. Yorkshire Rotary clubs are continuing their fundraising efforts to enable the fitting out of the classrooms.
